To allow for your members area to appear as if it is part of your website some updates to your websites DNS records are required to be completed.
This should be managed by whomever has admin access to your domain registrar, eg 123-reg etc.
Stage 1
Agreement should be made as to the title of the subdomain for your members area.
This is typically something similar to members.yourdomain.com.
Note: The Members Area must be a subdomain due to how the URLs for each page are generated, so the members area address cannot be www.yourdomain.com/membersarea
We will create a public certificate and share the CNAME values with you, these should be added to your domain registrar.
Once this is added and the DNS records have propagated (this can take up to 24 hours) then Stage 2 can be carried out.
Stage 2
Stage 2 involves adding another CNAME record to your domain registrar that we will provide once the changes from Stage 1 have updated.
Once both stages are completed we will update the members area URL from its development URL to your subdomain, any bookmarks to the old members area should be updated to the new one.
Eg from https://yourdomain.memb.rs to https://members.yourdomain.com
