When attempting to log in to the members area with a username and password you may receive a "Argument passed in must be a single String of 12 bytes or a string of 24 hex characters" error, as shown below.
This error typically means that the email address entered does not match any in the system.
This can usually be caused by the following:
Incorrect Spelling of Email Address
Please check and ensure that the email address is spelt correctly.
The Letter Case of Some Letters in the Email Address do not Match the System
The Memb.rs system stores the email addresses in lowercase format, this is because uppercase and lowercase letters are treated as different letters.
For example, in the screenshot above the email address entered has capital letters, JAndrews@Heller.com
In the system the email address is stored in lowercase as jandrews@heller.com:
Therefore, trying to use JAndrews@Heller.com will not match.
Changing the case of the email address to be all lowercase should in most cases allow a member to login successfully.
If changing the case of the email address does not work, please consult your administrator to verify your account details, or alternatively you can raise a support ticket with us to look at your account details.
