Committee meetings can have a status of either Open or Closed.
This is then used to either allow or disallow a member from making changes to their response to the meeting or the metafield values.
This can be used to stop members from making changes ahead of a meeting so that numbers for lunches etc can be finalised.
The Meeting Form Status is shown on the main Committees page, the Committee Meetings tab within a Committee, and the meeting page itself.
If a meeting form status is set to "Closed" then the member does not see the option to confirm attendance, decline, and, if added, the metafields.
In the members area the following is shown when a meeting is closed:
