Within your admin area is a Donations section, this can be used to view all donations made using the Members Area (both public and private Donations pages).
An example donations list is shown below:
The main Donations table shows your received donations ordered by date and time, they show who made the donation, whether they are a member or non-member, the amount, frequency, payment method, transaction status and whether the Gift Aid checkbox was ticked and address were added.
Exporting Donations
Donations can be exported as a CSV format file by using the Export Donations button at the top right of the page. The CSV file can be opened or imported to all modern accounting tools, such as Excel.
Donation Details
Clicking on a row will then open that donation to show details, as below:
If the Gift Aid checkbox was ticked the address details will be shown.
A button at the top right titled Members Donations will take you to the members Donations tab in their profile to view all of the donations that they have made.
Transactions
The Transactions section gives details on the payment, if Stripe or GoCardless was used then a link to the payment in the respective system is given, useful if the payment failed so that further details can be shown.
If a payment was made by an offline method then these are typically created with a status of Pending. An additional Update button will be shown whereby you can record when the payment has been received and cleared, which then will update the transaction to Completed.
Public Donations
Donations made using the public facing Donations page will typically be made by non-members.
When a non-member makes a donation their details are stored in the system, such as name and email address. They are created as a non-member account, a type of account that cannot log in to the Members Area.
This is useful as if in the future that person becomes a member their account can be changed to a standard account and there is a record of their interaction with the company.
